Esfp dating intj

We are often attracted to our opposites because they seem to provide the ingredients missing from our personalities and somehow together we feel more complete. Over the next few weeks, I will highlight the 8 opposite pairings possible out of the 16 MBTI personality ‘types’.

They probably annoy each other, especially if they do not understand and appreciate personality differences. Also, half the postings have smileys in the title: I ignore them until they go away or blow up in my face. Are these really the worst problems an ESFP deals with? I feel okay about picking on the ESFPs for several reasons: The original post was written with a sense of irony and self-deprecation, but perhaps that did not come across well.

This edit is written in seriousness, though. I agree that my statements are not true of all ESFPs across the board.

Welcome to Reddit,

Thank you to all personality types for adding to the depth, richness, and complexity of humanity. This is so funny. I took it 3 times, and twice came out ESFP. I also rarely use abbreviations like u or lol. That was really funny. I am an INFJ. My son is an INTJ. We are perfect companions and get along swell. Hi i read this trough a link in one of the forums at the personality cafe. I appreciate you INTJs because you do help bring order and some logical thinking to the world, but it would be nice if you could appreciate the fun and postivity we bring as well.

You might be depressed and cynical all the time otherwise. I agree with Lauren. No one wants mirror images. A dumbass is a dumbass no matter what. I stumbled upon this page through Google. Many of us use smileys but only where they help clarify the tone of an otherwise ambiguous statement. They are a nightmare. Sure they have a personality that is open and fun, but I see them nothing more but tertiary friends.

She was zany, scatterbrained, sarcastic, brought me out of my shell and forced me to go on midnight adventures with her while she enjoyed my sense of humor, sarcasm and quiet confidence, but ultimately she wasn't capable of committing to any kind of monogamous, long-term relationship.

We split up, or I guess we just stopped sleeping together. She eventually dropped out of college, then married, then had a child, then divorced, then became a lesbian, then became straight again, and then married again. I wouldn't be surprised if she has another child soon. To this day my personal nickname for her is "Zelda Fitzgerald", to give you an idea regarding her personality. I will also second the "ESFP's will sleep with way more people than you ever will" comment. I'd say that ultimately the differences are generally too great, although it would always depend on the person.

On one hand, he was very fun, charismatic, and outgoing, and he helped to bring me out of my shell. On the other, I was constantly frustrated at how immature and irresponsible he was, and how we could never talk about anything in depth. He became bored very easily, and always needed to be out and about having wild and crazy experiences, preferably in large groups of people And, as the introvert in the relationship, I found this incredibly exhausting.

Eventually, he stopped putting any effort into our relationship once it wasn't "fun" for him, and it ended with him cheating on me. Perhaps your ESFP is different than mine was, but I would be aware of the huge differences and proceed with some caution. Every year that went by got harder to deal with it until I finally had to get out Meyers Briggs is a good way to handle an approach to relationships, it is not a good way to predict relationships. As intj's there is an inclination that we can with enough info decipher how our relationships will work out.

Sorry to be the one to tell you there is no intj life hack on this one and even if there is a secret code embedded in the thread of human existence, I would hazard a guess that the intj type is about the worst equipped to discover it. Well you have to put your intjness aside and just take a chance. It may be a total flop or you may have found your life mate. There is more than enough data to analyze for this particular relationship pair as these to types attract like protons and electrons, but you will find no common pattern. Some make it and some don't and I have yet to discern what the common thread for success and failure.

INTJ Relationships With Each Myers Briggs Personality Types

If you find it post that shit immediately. I bet if you took a poll on this sub you would discover that there are a good majority working diligently on this very topic. Well, I appreciate the advice. I feel like by telling him I like him first, I took a strong leap of faith, but I guess I'll have to learn to relax more.

Thank you for your insight, I'll take your advice in strong consideration. I truly appreciate it. I wouldn't say relax so much as enjoy. All the other posters are right and on part with my experience with the ENPF. That seems to be who they are. They are our opposite and the two seem to gravitate.

Since we are so different it can get hairy or downright ugly.

The Pros and Cons of Dating Each Myers-Briggs Personality Type | Observer

We are just kind of at a disadvantage in the realm of feelings. Most of us would describe ourselves as thinking our feelings. He will have very sophisticated feelings and be very comfortable in that area. It seems to me in this dynamic that the ENPF will be the ruling force in the relationship so as the tide changes, as the emotions change, you will find yourself along for the ride. The other common complaint which I definitely experienced myself is the mask.

It seems that type will play the persona of your perfect match. They are really good at this. They will like what you like, think like you think, love like you want to be loved. Once they get bored they take off their mask and you find that they are completely different. It seems disingenuous to us. Not to them however.

  • Their love is to be swept up in the moment and all the act was to keep that feeling going. My advise would be to break that mask and see the true person. Challenge them when they seem too in tune with your interests. See if they possess the depth of knowledge. Don't take it personal if you find its an act. The reality is that he will be doing it all for you. He wants you to be happy. He's trying to tend to your happiness by becoming what you want. The problem is that for the intj it's a slap in the face when they stop doing it.
